Newton House College

Newton House College offers a traditional high school experience in a focused and structured learn assist environment, that ensures students reach their full potential to complete their matric qualifications.

Care is taken to provide a student-safe environment to minimise the risk of anti-social practices, such as substance abuse, adolescent deviance, bullying and other harmful influences at this critical time in their lives.

Our Approach to Education

Newton House College is not a ‘bridging class’ but offers a traditional schooling experience in the heart of Randburg, centered around your child’s social and educational needs.

Small classes of no more than 12 students cater for one-on-one tuition, allowing the time and space for each pupil to learn within their individual needs and abilities. It also promotes informed discussions and debates, giving each student the confidence to ask questions, research topics and formulate their own frameworks and concepts related to the various subjects taught.

Teachers are experienced, professional and most importantly, in tune with your child’s nature and ability. They’re also flexible enough to vary their teaching methodology to suit the individual needs and learning styles in the classroom.

To ensure your child reaches their full potential, an academic support programme is made available to students who may be struggling in certain learning areas.

Newton House College makes use of the Google platform for administration and academic purposes and a Google Classroom, which allows for teacher-student online collaboration and shared resources.
